In 1995, St-Cyr goes after an old dream to become a sculptor. In the very following spring, in 1996, St-Cyr participates in an exhibit in Paris. In 1997, he meets sculptor Roger Langevin and improves his techniques of sculpture by trying out other ways of forms and expressions.
In 1998, his work « Oie des neiges » (Snow goose) is awarded first prize in Cape Cod, at the Natural History Museum exhibition.
In 1999, he enrols on a course by Ms Brenda Fry and carries on his researches and experiments on woodcarving. His hyper realistic work is the fruit of his observation of birds which call his attention the most.
In 2001, his exhibition in Ocean City (Ward Word Competition) awards him a second prize in two categories.
In 2004, St-Cyr gives up his prior realistic style of sculpture to create new forms and movements emphasising now a stylised form of bird, always ready to fly away.
Some of his works have been limited to series of pieces reproduced out of bronze since then.
